The SlimP are one of those bands that have such an extraordinary output and mass appeal, that they even produced a best of compilation of there works to share with their loyal and loving fans, called "Recall 2003-2005".

In 2009 The SlimP look forward again and the new recording shows that you can look forward and back at the same time. The SlimP stay true to their roots. You will get shivers down your spine listening to the new album "Wavelands", not only because of sounds that already had that effect in the eighties, but because-though they use the same ingrediences as eighties wave heros. The dark wavers from Cologne do sound a lot fresher than most other dark-wave bands. "Wavelands" is simply a great album that need not fear the comparison with big names. The complex soundstructures invite not only hardcore wave fans but all true lovers of good music. The SlimP offer stricking basslines, the "clean cure strat" and much much more on their yet most harmonious and mature album.

Frontwoman Elisa Day really gets the eleven songs going and shares intimate and contemplative moments with the listeners. Listening to those good vocals and the unique soundstructures you know where the devoted fans come from.

The SlimP seem determined to follow the path they have started off with their debut album "Masquerade" in 2004, though this path is no longer a narrow sidewalk. Its grown to be a four laned highway with exits to indie ("Hypnosis") and pop ("Love and Lie"). The SlimP never rush us, but invite us to chill with them at nice stops along the way ("Wavelands", "Island Fog"). You never know, where they are going next, but you're guarantied the journey of your live on this dark-wave superhighway, taking you up and down and all around. Can you keep up. The competion can't.
